How Public Holidays Work in Canada
Canada has 10 federal statutory holidays for federally regulated workplaces. Canada Day moves to 2 July when 1 July is a Sunday.
Each province sets its own list: most add Family Day (third Monday of February) and a Civic Holiday in August, Quebec observes Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (24 June), and some provinces do not observe Easter Monday or Boxing Day.
